Eastpark Dental is now offering adult orthodontic treatment through ClearCorrect aligners! We’ve had many patients over the years mention either crowding or gaps between their teeth as a concern. We now have the ability to improve or completely correct these issues.
ClearCorrect uses a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them, each aligner moving your teeth just a little bit at a time. Ideal for patients who have mild or moderately crowded teeth, or have minor spacing issues, this system can give you the smile of your dreams!
What are the Treatment Steps?
Your initial visit begins with a 3D digital scan of your upper and lower jaw. We can now create virtual models of teeth which eliminates the use of putty impression material, in most cases. We also take photos of your smile from different angles to help analyze what movements will need to be made.
A virtual simulation of your new smile is created in about a week. It will show how each aligner will affect your teeth and how many aligners it will take to complete your case. Once we have reviewed the simulation with you, treatment can begin in just a couple weeks.
We will check your progress with each new aligner to make sure everything is going as planned. You will need to wear your aligners for a minimum of 22 hours a day, allowing time for eating and brushing. Each aligner is worn for a period of 2-3 weeks. Length of treatment time varies from case to case.
Advantages of Clear Aligners at Eastpark Dental
-Aligners are nearly invisible, unlike traditional orthodontic brackets and wires.
-Aligners are less likely to cause ulcers or sore spots that are very common with brackets.
-Removable aligners allow for easy brushing and flossing. Brackets are never easy to clean around and areas are often missed.
-Aligner treatment is often more affordable than traditional orthodontic treatment.
The Keys to a Successful Result
-Aligners need to be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day. Wearing them for less than 22 hours a day can delay treatment times.
-Keep your aligner check appointments! Missing an appointment can extend your treatment time.
